WELCOME TO THE BAILEY BUSINESS ASSOCIATION
Bailey Means Business

The BBA is a collective of businesses located in the Ken-Bailey Commercial Corridor, spanning along Bailey Ave from Winspear Ave to Route 33. Our membership base includes small businesses with decade-long histories in the corridor, new and emerging small businesses, and national retailers. Many of our business members have physical locations, while some provide services and products exclusive online or person to person.
It is our mission to provide businesses in our district with the resources and support they need to thrive and continue to contribute to the overall well being of those that live, work, learn, and play in our community, as well as to further attract and welcome those that are visiting and could use the products and services our business members have to offer.
We encourage and welcome auxiliary members to the BBA. If you are a community leader, resident, or have any interest in contributing to our efforts please join our mailing list to stay connected.

Thank you to the organizations and agencies that, through targeted programs and operational support, have enabled the re-establishment of the Bailey Business Association (BBA). The importance of a healthy functioning business association is vital in any community. Our partners heeded the call to pool resources and install the necessary components to ensure that the BBA can support our community.
And so, it is with the utmost sincerity that we, the BBA, express immense gratitude to each of you.
University District Community Development Association (UDCDA) is a full-service community development agency located in the heart of the Ken-Bailey Business District. The organization serves the community through affordable housing administration, youth and senior services, in addition to green space and business development.
The UDCDA has “adopted” the Bailey Business Association, in which UDCDA serves as a 501(c)3 pass-through for the association, as well as works in a concerted effort with other supporting partners to administer grants along the Ken-Bailey corridor. Additionally, the UDCDA provides meeting and office space for the conduction of BBA matters.
Empire State Development (ESD) is New York State’s chief economic development agency. The mission of ESD is to promote a vigorous and growing state economy, encourage business investment and job creation, and support diverse, prosperous local economies across New York State through the efficient use of loans, grants, tax credits, real estate development, marketing and other forms of assistance.
The Bailey Business Association provides its members with information regarding the resources established by ESD. BBA offers application technical assistance to qualified businesses interested in applying to ESD initiatives.
East Side Avenues is a unique public/private partnership that is supported by an $8 million East Side Collaborative Fund which provides capital and organizational support to transformational projects in targeted areas along four East Side commercial corridors.
From the capacity building support of East Side Avenues, the BBA has been able to retain an organizational manager. With a dedicated administrator, the BBA is able to function effectively and consistently.
M&T Bank has been a locally-loved bank in the Ken-Bailey Business District for decades. Offering a wide range of business and personal banking tools and products, M&T delivers banking solutions that help make a big difference in our community.
For the BBA to maintain fluid operations and high visibility, there is a need to employ additional support staff, activate various communication platforms, and access developmental tools. M&T Bank has stepped up to ensure that the BBA has the funding needed to secure each of these elements in order to function, fully.
Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) believes that WNY’s long-term success will be measured by the extent to which all individuals – regardless of income, race or zip code – have access to safe, healthy, sustainable communities with housing and economic choices. LISC believes that neighborhoods can take control of their destiny, and people can drive this positive change from within. As a collective impact “intermediary” organization, we support on-the-ground work primarily in four program areas: Livability Planning, Affordable Housing, Family Income & Wealth Building, and Neighborhood Business Support.
As a BBA supporting partner, LISC provides the BBA with extensive insight regarding pertinent business and community-based resources. BBA counts on LISC to keep our members aware of the peripheral support options that exist and provides hand-in-hand guidance on accessing these resources…that may have otherwise gone unnoticed.
